Title: Promises and Prospects of Technology Use in Teaching in Secondary Schools in Tanzania
The aim is to research how ICT technology use in public secondary schools for teaching and learning can the gap of shortage of teachers, books, and other learning and teaching resources. Tanzania has introduced an ICT curriculum in some public schools and its vision is to ensure all secondary schools are integrated with ICT technology. Thus, this study aims to examine the promises of technology use in teaching and learning, challenges encountered and their potential for success.
Key findings and ideas:
Findings will include sharing an understandin of the adoption and perceptions of ICT technology use in teaching and learning in secondary schools among both students and teachers, the challenges ecountered in technology use, and its success (or otherwise) in bridging the gap. Different statistics and graphs/charts will be used to present the results. Recommendations and comments will be provided based on the findings.
