Ravi Bhandari
Assistant Professor and Head of International Relations and Development Affairs at Gandaki University, Nepal
Ravi Bhandari has previously served as a Program Manager at Nepal Innovation Technology & Entrepreneurship Center, Pokhara University, where he honed his expertise over a six-year tenure. Beyond his academic responsibilities at Gandaki University, Ravi also serves as a Visiting Faculty member at the School of Engineering at Pokhara University, Nepal.
Ravi is actively involved in spearheading research and development projects focused on Green Technologies for rural enterprises in the mountains of Nepal. Through a hands-on approach, he has directly contributed to the success of more than 35 community enterprises in remote areas of the country. By providing essential technologies, entrepreneurship knowledge, and market linkages, Ravi has empowered these communities to thrive. His dedication to evidence-based solutions has yielded innovative breakthroughs that effectively address critical issues faced by people and communities. He is a co-inventor of three patented inventions, recognized by the Department of Industry, Government of Nepal, showcasing his significant impact on sustainable development.
Ravi’s expertise also extends to entrepreneurship and innovation training. As a certified Business Model Zen Trainer, he shares his knowledge and mentors aspiring students in the fields of Innovation and entrepreneurship. Furthermore, Ravi is also involved in collaboration with Seoul National University, Republic of Korea in a joint project aimed at developing appropriate technology for biochar (a carbon-rich solid product made from the pyrolysis of biomass residues) production in Nepal.
