Prof. Dr. Luís Neves Domingos
Director of the Computer Science Center at Eduardo Mondlane University
He has been in his presetn role since 2017, and holds a PhD in Multimedia in Education from the University of Aveiro (2012). He was head of the Information Services and Content Development Department at UEM for 10 years and coordinated the implementation process of the Innovation Space at Eduardo Mondlane University. He currently coordinates a program that promotes the use of ICTs for blended learning at UEM. He has extensive experience and interest in the areas of Information and Communication Technologies for Development (ICT4D) and for Teaching and Innovation, having actively worked on several ICT-based projects to promote community development and improve the teaching-learning process (for primary, secondary and higher education). He has teaching experience at undergraduate and master’s levels, and was a visiting scientist at VTT of Finland (based in Helsinki) in 2012 and at Fraunhofer Portugal (based in Porto-Portugal) 2014 – 2016.
