Videos from Nepal at the interface of digital tech and migration

Our work in Nepal as a contribution to the MIDEQ Hub has focused on facilitating two main activities that have brought together migrant organisations and local tech developers: the creation of a portal (https://pardesi.org.np) that provides links to a wide range of information from many different sources that is of relevance to the migration process for Nepali citizens; and training resources about the safe, wise and secure/private use of digital tech. As part of our commitment to transparent monitoring and evaluation of our reseaarch-practice, we have previously shared some short video clips of migrants talking about their involvement in our work, and about the pardesi.org.np portal. Workshops in Lalitpur in advance of the formal launch of the portal and the training resources on 10th December 2023, provided an opportunity for migrants, representatives of migrant organisations, and young people from the local tech community to share their thoughts. These are grouped together below under the headings of: tips on the safe, wise and secure use of digital tech; the pardesi.org.np portal; and working with our team.
